Ages 12+ – realism/classical training
In our studio class each project has a specific goal and enforces a different aspect of art. The curriculum is based on obtaining a better grasp on the elements of art and the principles of design through an understanding of both concrete and conceptual ideas. The projects feature different areas of focus such as perspective, color theory, art in historical context, conceptual design, and establishing style. Students train with working through various types of art tools such as watercolor, acrylic, and charcoal but the aim is to build traditional drawing skills that can translate through any medium.
